A Little Bit of The English Lake District

About to head off for 6 months working abroad, I decide to enjoy the British countryside while I can. The weather has other plans of course!

Camping at Great Langdale Campsite, in the Lake District National Park:

We go for a short walk after we arrive, just to see a few nearby waterfalls:

The next day, and we cycle a roughly 20 mile round trip, on a mixture of track and road, to Lake Coniston:

Thank goodness we didn't take the route signed 'challenging'!

My only bike trick...

Coniston Water. 11 miles back to the campsite

The final day, and the rainy misty weather doesn't feel suitable for the longer hikes we had hoped for. Instead we have to make do with a short hike from Lake Windemere:

Lake Windermere

Countryside - enjoyed. Weather - not so much!
